Local context
What we paint in Nambour.
Nambour is the oldest working town centre we paint in. A good share of the housing is 1920s and 1930s weatherboard, the kind with gables, timber arches and a staircase worth keeping. Around that sits post-war and later stock spread over the hills. Prices here still bring in first-home buyers, so we see plenty of houses being painted right after settlement.
What we watch for
Substrate and exposure notes.
Character detail is most of the work on a Nambour repaint. Gable brackets, timber arches and turned balustrades all need hand prep, and a spray gun will bury the detail that made the house worth buying. Pre-1970 paint layers get a lead test first.
